can hemorrhoids cause constipation?
i got a couple of hemorroids from my first pregnancy, they were just small, and didnt hurt. but with my last pregnancy i got a very large thrombosed one and i had to get it drained. i have now had my baby, but ive noticed while the hemorroid is not hurting and has gone soft, it seems to of grown. i havnt been to the toilet for a few days for number 2, and today i feel i need to go, but i cant. i did try, but it hurt and nothing happend. but now im left with a hard feeling as tho its just there waiting to come out. i have cramp stomache pain, and feel little stabbing pains down below. is it possibly i cant go because the hemorrhoids have blocked me down there? what if i can never poo again???
Pregnancy makes you more prone to hemorrhoids. However, hemorrhoids does not cause constipation. It should be the pain feeling that causes you to have hard stools.
You should drink more water and intake more fiber to improve bowel movement. Try to have a warm bath to reduce the irritation.
