Can internal hemorrhoids become external?
I’ve had 2 children so naturally I suffer from lovely hemorrhoids. How do you know if they are internal or external? I have 1 that sometimes I can see it and sometimes I can’t. Like after a bowel movement I can see and feel it but then later on I can’t see it unless I strain or something. Does that mean it’s an internal one?
I have to admit I’m nervous about it bursting or something. I read that can be very painful and very dangerous! Eeek!

What is a Hemorrhoid?
A hemorrhoid is an enlarged vein in the anus (it’s also called a varicose vein). In a healthy person, the tissue around the anus fills with blood to regulate bowel movements. However, when there is constant pressure or other factors restricting blood flow, the veins become inflamed. Poor blood flow may cause a blood clot. That results in a painful, swollen, protruding hemorrhoid.
Physicians classify two types of hemorrhoids:
External Hemorrhoids common symptoms are itching and burning. Streaks of blood may appear on toilet paper during bowel movements.
