Would desitin or a zinc oxide cream help my hemorrhoid go away?
Nope. The only thing that will help your hemorrhoid disappear is to change your diet so you are not constipated and do not strain to pass stool. A hemorrhoid is a varicose vein of the rectum, engorged with blood that can’t get back in circulation. You need to eat a lot more wholegrain foods, fruits and veggies, salads, and less white bread, red meat, cheese/dairy, prepackaged food and junk food. It will also help to drink more fluid, and not let yourself get constipated at all. If you need to, add a glass of the drinkable fiber mix to the morning routine to help regulate things until your diet can take over. To help ease the burn and get some relief, use a proper hemorrhoidal ointment- like Preparation H. To put out the fire, use Tucks or some other witch hazel pad. Store those in the fridge to really help put the fire out fast and soothe the tissues. And use baby wipes for personal cleaning, which is easier on the personality than dry paper as well. Desitin is for diaper rash, and that is not your problem. Yours is not caused by a wet diaper, it’s due to a poor diet and constipation. You need the remedies for that.
