Hemorrhoids Young Adults

Is there a possibility I have Colon Cancer? I’m only 15?

Recently I haven’t been having regular bowl movements, I have one like every 5-7 days and I know this isn’t normal. Recently when i went to the bathroom I just pee’d and when i wiped there was little spotting of blood coming from my butt. I know this isn’t normal at all and I’m scared. I plan on asking my mother about it and having her ask my doctor. I was just curious if this could be Colon cancer. I’ve read that its uncommon in young adults and your not likely to get it unless someone in your family has. Many people in my family have had cancer including my mother who has had cervical cancer, but no one has had colon cancer. I don’t know how worried I should be. Is this something little like anal fissures or hemorrhoids or something more serious?

Colon cancer is extremely rare at age 15 since colon cancer often takes nearly a decade to develop. On the other hand, nearly everyone gets constipation once in a while, and constipation usually causes rectal bleeding, and if you strain too much, it also causes hemorrhoids. If the blood is bright red and looks fresh, that means its caused by constipation. This type of bleeding isn’t a medical concern unless you are bleeding so much that you can become anemic. What you probably need to focus on is changing your diet to avoid constipation. For most people, eating a high fiber cereal each day is sufficient; some people need to take a fiber supplement; and a magnesium supplement also helps.
