hemorrhoids when pregnant
Bleeding from the butt while pregnant?

I am 20 weeks pregnant, and so far have had no complications while pregnant. Today when I went to the bathroom, I looked in the toilet and there was a large amount of blood in the toilet bowl. I wiped, and realized that it had probably come from my butt. I have no pain, and it didn’t even hurt when it happened, and I don’t think I have any hemorrhoids or anything like that and this hasn’t happened before. Is this serious and what should I do? What could be causing this, and is it effecting my pregnancy? Is the baby OK?

Are you SURE you dont have hemorrhoids? Because thats usually what causes it. It could also be from cuts in your butt crack (sorry) that are caused from constipation (anal fissures). Usually rectal bleeding doesn’t signify a serious problem but you should call your doctor tomorrow just to be on the safe side. Good luck and merry xmas.
