Constipation and Weight Loss?
I’m 17 years old. Two and a half months ago I was diagnosed with mono(I’m not sure if this has to do with anything) When I had mono I lost seven pounds….For a little over a month now I’ve become very constipated. I went to the doctor & they took an xray of because of the abdominal/back pain I was having. They said i was constipated & to just buy Miralax. It’s now a month & a half later & I’m still constipated. As a result I’m getting hemorrhoids. I drink prune juice, eat prunes, fruit, high fiber oatmeal yet nothing seems to help. I’ve even tried suppositories. NOTHING WORKS. Also I’ve lost weight & it’s become noticeable to people. Does anyone know what this could be? Or what’s causing it?
You may have a parasite. One in three people have one. You can request your doctor to give you something for that. It’s recommended that everyone do it once a year. Also you may have some mucosal plaque build up. If you aren’t having luck with adding green vegetables, fiber and over the counter things like Miralax you could try something specifically for cleaning out your intestine build up. I’m not sure if your doctor can recommend something, but you could buy some online.
