Hemorrhoids Reduce Swelling
cold sore swelling… ?
So i just developed a cold sore i have been icing it and taking ibuprofen as well as using HL lip balm, but i still have swelling..
As i saw on another answer, hemorrhoid cream can help reduce the swelling??? is this safe in very small amounts? what i have never heard of such a thing but im desperate… HEELLPPP
This is a repeat of my answer to the same question from another person:
I take several tablets of Llysine (in the vitamin eisle) and vitamin E pills as soon as I feel a cold sore coming on. It either stops it in it’s tracks, or at least it ends up healing much faster. You must take them
EVERY day of the cold sore, including when it’s almost completely gone. Llysine is an essential amino acid that makes your skin cells turn over more rapidly, and vitamin E kills the little virus off that’s embedded inside and helps repair the tissues.
Also: hold a cold compress of some sort gently on the cold sore several times the first two days (until the swelling goes down).
The NUMBER ONE thing to remember is, BE CAREFUL NOT TO LET YOUR FINGERS OR ANYTHING ELSE THAT HAS TOUCHED THE COLD SORE TOUCH ANY OTHER PART OF YOUR’S OR ANYONE ELSE’S BODY!!! They are VERY contagious, and can also be passed to your genital area if you touch the cold sore, then touch that area without washing your hands with soap first!
Wash your hands very diligently during the whole duration of your cold sore, and change your toothbrush afterward. Also dispose of any chapsticks, etc, that touched your lips around the time the cold sore developed.
