Hemorrhoids Position

Will this hemorrhoid just go away!?
Yeah yeah yeah, it’s gross, I know. I have a hemorrhoid (and I know it’s a hemorrhoid, since it [again, gross] feels like a grape and changes positions) and it’s been causing me a lot of discomfort for the past few weeks. I think it started out external and once I started using hemorrhoidal cream it receded inward, but it’s still problematic. What’s the best way to go about getting rid of this? My insurance only covers appointments made at my student health center, and let’s just say they aren’t the best…
It sounds like you have external hemorrhoids which you can feel as opposed to internal, which are inside the rectum . Usually you will need surgery to get rid of them for good for they really don’t just go away.If you can put up with medically treating them (until you get a job & coverage @ work), you first must avoid constipation which will make them worse, cause increased pain with bowel movements, & start bleeding.Take frequent hot baths, which will soothe them (if you can get a sitz bath do it after each BM with very warm water for at least 10 minutes.) If constipation is a problem, use OTC stool softeners like Colace 2 -3 times a day so the BM is soft but you have no diarrhea.Adjust your diet if you can too.Continue with the cream if it helps. You can also use Witch Hazel on gauze pad or Tucks to the irritated area which will sooth the tissue.Sorry, but the only way to get rid of them for good is the surgery but at least these things may help until you can afford it unless you want to brave the student health center…Good luck in any case.
