Just discovered blood with my stool…How serious is this?
I apologize because this is pretty disgusting.
I am a 22 year old female. I actually thought I was on my period at first, because the blood was bright red. However the blood was not coming from my vagina. This JUST started about 10 minutes ago. I don’t have any visible cuts or scrapes or irritation near my anus, so I’m kind of concerned. It looked like maybe about a tablespoon worth of blood. The blood isn’t mixed in with the stool, just sort of lying on top of it.
I am overweight, could it just be a hemorrhoid? Also, I am not in any pain.
It could be a hemorrhoid, it could be something more serious.
Have you just had a hard stool ? It could be irritation from up inside your rectum.
If it doesn’t stop soon, go to the hospital to be sure it isn’t something bad.
