Hemorrhoids Medicine Over The Counter
Pregnancy, probably TMI but .. advice?
Well this is probably too much info but i need some advice, since fallen pregnant i’ve had bad constipation, i go to the loo like every 2nd or 3rd day now (before everyday) and sometimes i need to go more than once but every time i go i bleed (haemorrhoids?) it’s not much blood just a little bit, i’m not sure if this could be haemorrohoids or not, is this dangerous in pregnancy if i have got haemorrohoids? Can i use normal over the counter medicine or not? Please help.

You’re constipated because of the extra iron in your prenatal vitamins.
the bleeding is from hemorrhoids caused by the constipation.
My OB allows anything over-the-counter for both the hemorrhoids and the constipation, however… they will not solve the problem.
Not every woman needs to over-kill the iron, especially if your eat a well balanced diet (green leafy veggies, fish, meat, etc…) and you have no history of anemia… talk to your doctor about a pill with less iron or alternating a children’s vitamin every-other-day with your prenatals. This will ease the load on your bowels, while giving you the iron you need (but not much more)
