Does holding fart cause hemorrhoids(piles)?
I’m embarrased to say this but i’ve to. My farts made me a thing of joke in my workplace.So to avoid further embarassment, I decided to hold farts come what may as long as I am in my workplace(I work for 9 hours).I am doing this for about a week now and I want to know if holding Farts cause hemorrhoids(piles) because I am now experiencing little pain in the anus region.
no it wont cause piles.
Haemorrhoids are very common in men and women, especially after the age of 50. They are caused due to a raised pressure in the abdomen which may be because of:
a chronic constipation problem
a large uterus as in pregnancy
obesity
heavy lifting jobs
there are three different kinds of heamorrhoids:
Internal haemorrhoids – are those that are formed inside the rectum. They are generally not painful and are often only noticed when they bleed.
Prolapsed haemorrhoids – are internal haemorrhoids that protrude through the anus when stool is passed or when a person stands or walks. They are usually painful.
External haemorrhoids (perianal haematoma) – are small, painful haemorrhages under the skin around the anus. They form a hard clot after 24 hours. When they resolve, they sometimes leave a small skin tag.
Some ways to reduce gas formation is to: eat slowly and thoroughly chew the food, sip rather than gulp liquids, minimize fizzy beverages, avoid chewing gum, and eliminate sugar-free foods containing sorbitol or xylitol (which are both poorly digested). You must exercise, and if you consume legumes, soak them well prior to cooking and discard the water. Use of ginger etc. too helps.
