hemorrhoids flatulence
Excessive Flatulence?

This New Year’s I’ve resolved to drop a few pounds. However, since I have begun my diet I have had a lot of excess flatulence, accompanied by constipation, and hemorrhoids. I’ve been eating healthy foods, taking vitamin and mineral supplements, drinking tons of water, and I have avoided many fats, complex carbohydrates, and sugars. I know that a failure to break down carbohydrates can cause gas, as well as an increase in dietary fiber. But, I am not eating anything unusual, and certainly nothing that I have not eaten in the past. My gastrointestinal issues are becoming uncomfortable, embarrassing, and even painful at times? Does anyone have any suggestions?

Some VERY RUDE answers to a PERSONAL question! Shame on the dogs!

Anyway…

Congrats on your resolve!

If you’re eating healthy give your body time to adjust. Take things slowly and gently.

Research the foods you eat to find out if one or more are giving you gas. Some are prone to this though they are very healthy and good for you.

Try removing one food at a time and see if it makes a difference. Perhaps you can figure it out.

It would not hurt to see a doctor to be sure there is not some other reason but if it’s only a little discomfort and not making you sick, you might be able to figure it out yourself.

Blessings.
