Hemorrhoids Enema
I am 3 months pregnant and most likely cause of constipation bed rest. What should I do to go myself?
I tried eating prunes and ex lax and I still can not and my stomach starts to hurt. My stepmother is a retired nurse and wants me give an enema, but I'm embarrassed because I still really bad hemorrhoids during pregnancy. My husband is out of town so that can not do it. Could I go to the hospital and ask them to do or should I let them? I have no family close by me like a mother or grandmother could do it. I tried to do it myself but I'm nervous. I can not even use a tampon, but yet I can not give BIRT naturally to twins .. lol. I can not do it for myself the thing I psychological.
Try the enema, then start taking stool softeners regularly to help. I know having enemas are embarrassing and sometimes no one wants to really have one. If your stepmother is an RN and she is quite capable provide one for you. She is a mother too and I'm sure she feels your pain and know what you are experiencing. She just wants to help. Plus its not like she didn't gave enemas to hundreds of others. My mother is an RN and she give them to me sometimes. Believe me if it helps you feel much better. But definitely start taking emollients that are safe to take during pregnancy.
