I am a student of surgery and Hemorrhoids are one of the most common things I deal with. hemorrhoid banding is a procedure that uses a small band surgical rubber to put around the hemorrhoid. after a week or two, the group will fall with the rest of the hemorrhoid. this is less painful fact that making an incision. Most of our patients are in extreme pain, even if local anestetics are used. if the thing is, most surgeons including myself perfer the method of using an incision, because it is more efficient. i and external hemorrhoids are not the band. good luck ~
