I have blood in my stool … help.?
I had blood in my stool off and on since I was 21 years. I am now 36. Last year I had a colonoscopy and upper gastrointestinal and every doctor has found a hemorrhoid. He gave me cream and I use it regularly. However, I still get these bloody stools, usually once a month and when my menstrual cycle. (The blood is coming from my anus, though). Anyway, it's always medium red in color, the bowl is completely red (not pink), and it is clotty. Today it was so bad that the blood soaked toilet paper when I wiped. Blood occurs if I have a saddle or not. It is so weird … I usually feel pain or fullness in my abdomen where I feel the acid reflux, then it is generally relived thereafter. I'm not Certin whether this is due to my hemorrhoids, but feel that it is just the doctor assigned to. Any ideas if this could be something else? I do not eat spicy food and my stool is always soft … I never hard stools.
