Just given birth and have hemorrhoids horribly, what can I do for them?

I just gave birth on Christmas Day and now I have hemorrhoids horribly. I can not sit upright or nothing. I was using the bucket Sitz Bath hospital gave me and also using Tucks pads. Is there anything else I can use? My husband bought a treatment against hemorrhoids ointment, but is said to call my doctor if I am breastfeeding. I can not call them until tomorrow, does anybody have any suggestions?
